Ingredion Incorporated Maintenance Supervisor in OR, United States
As a Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring safe completion of all maintenance work completed under direct supervision and conduct routine safety walks and inspections of the site.
Taking ownership of the equipment in the plant to ensure continuous and reliable operation, respond to all unplanned maintenance needs, and provide technical expertise to troubleshoot plant issues.
Provide leadership to drive innovation and improvements as the organization transitions from a reactive maintenance environment to proactive.
Implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs within System Analysis Program (SAP) to achieve reliability and cost targets.
Schedule maintenance staff to optimize service and minimize costs, as well as coordination overtime hours for work completion. Prepare work outlines and schedules for daily, weekly, monthly and shutdown work.
Leading projects involving installation, modification and refurbishment of new and existing equipment.
Collaborating with vendors/suppliers, contractors, and plant management to ensure internal/external customer service is achieved.
Control labor costs, hiring, scheduling, and development of maintenance partners in team-oriented environment.
Managing the maintenance work order process including: work request approval, prioritization, cost effectiveness, recording labor changes, preventative maintenance, and work order completion.
Supervising maintenance personnel in performing repairs and maintenance activities for material handling and food processing equipment.
Developing and maintain an in-depth knowledge of appropriate company and regulatory rules, procedures, and policies, assuring proper execution of all safety related permits required for maintenance activities.
Being responsible for ensuring all environmental compliance recording, reporting, documentation and testing to meet the standards for the appropriate compliance agencies and corporate requirements. This includes all city, state and federal environmental permitting and records.
Developing SAP-PM routines and reports that support the Plant Maintenance Strategy as well as daily execution of SAP-PM plant maintenance program.
Continuously improve maintenance processes including Breakdown Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, Refurbishment Process, and Calibration Process in SAP.
Partnering with the Stockroom Associate to establish and maintain data within SAP-PM including Functional Location, Equipment, Material, PM Assembly, Serial Number, Equipment BOM.
Implementing and enforce effective Material Management processes and work order kitting through timely monitoring, improving transactions and maintaining accurate Material Master Records.
The Maintenance Supervisor position is well-suited for you if you:
Maintain and complete assigned projects in a timely manner and provide ongoing communication on the status of project as required.
Maintain cleanliness to GMP standards and comply with all safety standards.
Provide technical support, solutions and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager.
Lead trouble shooting activities with maintenance team and utilize all available resources to correct maintenance issues in an expedient manner.
Coordinate and assist contractors with projects as needed.
Build relationships with frontline team members to help create and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualified candidates will have:
Associates Degree and/or 5 year related experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment (preferably in food processing) which includes electrical background with AC/DC and basic knowledge of PLC’s.
General knowledge of electrical wiring up to 480 volts for three phase systems, a general mechanical background and a basic knowledge of electrical controls and printed circuits.
Previous experience in the mechanical field with practical experience in electrical, welding, basic machine shop and general equipment repair.
Practical understanding of predictive maintenance tools/techniques, precision maintenance skills and experience in a multi-craft environment is a plus.
Ability to effect change through persuasion and excellent communication.
Ability to obtain results through other by establishing an environment of employee growth, trust and accountability.
Clear understanding of OSHA rules.
Prior experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLC and communication systems.
Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
