TITLE: Continuous Improvement Leader - Supply Chain

LOCATION: Corporate Office at Guadalajara, Mexico

REPORTS TO: Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement Sr Manager

Ingredion is hiring a Continuous Improvement Leader to be responsible for providing leadership and support for all the Continuous Improvement aspects at Mexico’s Supply Chain organization.

This position will be leading and coordinating the Cost Savings Program and the CI initiatives across all Supply Chain functions.

The Continuous Improvement Leader will report direct to the Customer Experience and Continuous Improvement Senior Manager and to the Procurement & Supply Chain Performance Manager on a dotted line basis.

As a Continuous Improvement Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Cost Savings program at the Supply Chain functions, providing leadership for new cost savings ideas generation and their execution, ensuring to deliver on the CI savings targets.

  • Lead the implementation of an Operational Excellence Model within Supply Chain, establishing clear programs and KPI´s to track progress towards a more efficient and reliable operation in terms of cost, productivity, quality and safety aspects.

  • Lead multiple Lean Six Sigma teams, which work on projects that deliver process improvements and financially contribute to the business, leveraging the results throughout the organization.

  • Provide leadership and support to continuous improvement systems implementations such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) initiatives across Ingredion Mexico sites.

  • Troubleshooting, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing action plans and follow-up to ensure effective results.

  • Providing engineering studies, designs and justifications for approval to support Supply Chain goals.

  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Continuous Improvement projects within Supply Chain.

  • Communicate the status and eventual results of Cost Savings Program and Operational Excellence model evolution effectively with stakeholders, removing roadblocks.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional leadership to identify initiatives and establish priorities based on corporate, regional, and site business objectives.

  • Developing training materials and delivering training sessions in various aspects of continuous improvement.

  • Maintain and expand personal knowledge of Continuous Improvement methods and tools.

  • Mentor, coach and train black and green belts and project team members to further develop capabilities and positive project outcomes.

The Continuous Improvement Leader position requires the following competences:

  • Capable of learning, leading and sponsoring a data-oriented environment with an emphasis on statistics, SPC, and data analysis.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and prepare concisely written reports.

  • Strong ability to foster positive relationships with and between team members, support functions and functional groups.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, build consensus, and foster relationships at multiple organization levels and across different organizational functions.

  • Demonstrated degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, and innovation in handling complex technical assignments, with minimal supervision.

  • Proven ability to assimilate complex information, data and processes and draw meaningful, accurate conclusions. Able to recommend and implement reliable solutions and improvements.

  • Strong ability to foster positive relationships with and between team members, support functions and functional groups.

  • Teaching and mentoring skills to individuals and groups. Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or another related field. MBA desirable.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations, a technical, or a business role.

  • Spanish and English proficiency.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt training.

  • Experience in executing projects or process improvements and troubleshooting in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment.

  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and to be a change agent.

  • Availability to travel to different locations in Mexico and abroad.
